Michael Wayne Carr Jr. was a much-loved young man. Michael was born on December 17th, 1976. He was the first-born son of Michael Wayne Carr Sr. and Cynthia Kay Carr and the older brother of Billy, Chris, and Valaree. He was Uncle Michael to Valaree's children, Bradley and Kera. He was also a beloved grandson to Bill and Jeanette Carr and George and Alma LaFlam who have all welcomed him into heaven with open arms. He was a very special nephew to George LaFlam and to Connie and George Devaney. Michael enjoyed growing up with numerous cousins and was definitely the "leader of the pack". His brothers and cousins always looked up to him as they were growing up. Michael was a big boy from an early age, with chocolate brown eyes and a mop of curls on his head. He was sometimes called "Moosey" because of his size and his likeliness to plow down anything in his way just as any toddler might do. He made his family laugh from the minute he was born with his funny expressions and silly questions that he came up with. He soon became a big brother to Billy, then Chris, and finally to his baby sister, Valaree. Michael was a fun-loving kid, always ready to play. Anytime a group of kids got together, Michael took charge and had everyone involved in having a good time. He carried his love of life into adulthood and was a fun loving man. Some of Michael's best times were spent fishing and boating with his family in the Keys. He enjoyed going to concerts with his friends and loved 90's alternative music. He went off to work every morning with his earphones in and listening to all his favorite groups. Michael was into watersports and loved to skateboard, but recently said he might have to give it up, laughing that he was getting to be an old man. One of Michael's favorite joys was spending time with his nephew Bradley and his niece, Kera. His laughter filled the house when he was determined to teach the kids some dance moves. He and Bradley played cars and playstation together. Little Kera was so excited when Uncle Michael pushed her in the swing as high has she could go and he watched her jump on the trampoline. Michael loved his job doing hardwood flooring. He worked hard and never turned down overtime. He never thought of his job as boring or something he had to do. He looked forward to each new job and took pride in the finished product. Michael was always a gentle giant with a big soft heart. He was the first to help anyone in need, starting with his younger brothers and sister, and to his parents, his friends, and co-workers. He was as strong as an ox and as gentle as a lamb. He will be sadly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
