Michael Thomas Buchanan Michael Buchanan, 61, passed away on Monday, March 27th, 2023. Michael was born to parents Larry and Diana Buchanan in Detroit, Michigan. In the early 1970's, his family relocated to West Palm Beach, FL where he carried on a family lineage as an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing. He was especially proud to host Military veterans on guided hunting and fishing expeditions in the past 10 years. In his early years, he also developed master chef level cooking abilities that continued through his lifetime. He was lovingly referred to for most of his life as "Fat Rat." Michael was a big fan of all types of auto racing that was shared with numerous friends and family. He also enjoyed cheering on the Florida State Seminoles where both his children graduated from. Michael will be remembered and admired for his many roles as a parent, counselor, mentor, brother and friend. He was especially proud of his love and guidance that led to his daughter's law career and hunting abilities. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Diana. He is survived by his wife Joanna, daughter Elizabeth and son David. Other surviving family members include his brother Jeffrey (Michelle) and Steven, and his nephews Steven and Larry.
