Merci T. Neisz

Merci Theresa Neisz, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023, at the age of 94 at the home of her daughter Angela in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Merci was born on February 11, 1929, in Norristown, PA, to parents Sullivan and Catherine DiGiacomo. Merci was a loving and faithful wife of 73 years to her late husband, Archie Allen Neisz. Together they raised four children, Archie Jr., Abbie, Matthew, and Angela. Merci was also a doting mother, a loving sister to eight siblings, and a caring grandmother to her granddaughter Brandie Feuer and grandson Aaron Feuer. As a young Navy wife, she traveled for 20 years from coast-to-coast following Archie Sr, as his duty stations changed: Massachusetts, Maryland, California, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Florida, New Jersey, New York, and finally retiring to Florida. She was known for her love of learning new words every day and often posted them on her refrigerator. She enjoyed writing poetry, playing Scrabble, and growing flowers in her garden. Her home was always clean and orderly, and she was often outside painting the trim white. (She painted everything white.) She was a good cook, known for her lasagna, lemon meringue pies, and pineapple upside cake. She loved having her family around her and always made holidays - especially Christmas - festive occasions. She was a good judge of character and made friends wherever she lived. Merci is survived by her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband. She had a great sense of humor and touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace. Merci's funeral service will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida, where she will be interred beside her beloved husband Archie on July 7th at 10:30 AM.
