Maureen M. Carson

December 27, 1963 — November 15, 2022

The angels and saints, along with Blessed Virgin Mary, Joseph and our Lord, Jesus Christ rejoice in heaven in the coming home of our beloved, Maureen Ann Marcenelle Carson, November 15, 2022. We remember and are grateful for the life she was given and shared with us here. Born to Michael and Margaret Marcenelle in Pittsburgh, PA on December 27th, 1963, Maureen was the fifth child born to their Roman Catholic family of six. She was baptized and claimed by our Lord as his own on January 5, 1964. Maureen was a graduate of St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA with a degree in Political Science. She received an M.S. Speech-Language Pathology degree and was awarded a Doctorate of Education from Florida Atlantic University. Professionally, she was a Speech Language Pathologist and Exceptional Student Education Resource Teacher with the Palm Beach County Schools. She also taught ESE classes at the graduate level. Her faith and family were paramount to her being, as was her husband, Mark. He was her love and strength. She was an advisor, confidant, teacher, pen-pal and early morning "talk you all the way to work" daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother and friend. She was the perfect hostess, chef, and guest. Maureen was beauty and graciousness, kindness and mercy, all in one blessed child of God. We rejoice in Maureen who waits for us in heaven where we all hope to meet her again. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mark D. Carson, her devoted pup, Quinnie, parents, Michael and Margaret Marcenelle, three sisters, Michele Boykin (John), Mary Ann Campbell (Donald), Margaret Mary Rummel (David) and two brothers, Michael Marcenelle (Gwen) and Matthew Marcenelle (Lindsay). Maureen has 8 nieces, 18 nephews and 51 great nieces and nephews who affectionately call her "Fabulaunt Maureen". She loved and is loved by so many. "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. – Proverbs 31: 29-31 Mary, our Mother, wrap Maureen in your loving mantel and carry her to the feet of your son, our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. A private Mass of Christian burial will take place at a later date with interment of her ashes in Canandaigua, New York.
