Mary Grace Yannantuono passed away on March 11, 2018. She fought a brave battle with dementia for the past several years. Mary was known to all as a sweet and loving person. She was kind and generous throughout her life and had a special gift of bringing out the best in others. Mary was born in Tuckahoe, NY on January 5, 1925 but would never tell her real age. She often said, "I don't think in numbers!" She loved her parents, Pasquale and Catherine Servodidio and was a devoted daughter and sister. She married the love of her life, Daniel Yannantuono, on September 14, 1947. Together they had two children, a son, Daniel and a daughter, Lois. They were married for many wonderful years full of loving memories. She was predeceased by her husband in 2014. Mary worked as a secretary in the Guidance Department of Scarsdale High School in Scarsdale, NY. She also served as President of the Secretarial Association while there. She loved her job, the Deans of Guidance for whom she worked, her co-workers and all the students. They loved her back. Dan and Mary moved to Royal Palm Beach, FL after retiring and spent many wonderful years here. She enjoyed playing golf and served as a volunteer at Palms West Hospital, where she was elected President of the Volunteer Association. Mary was awarded the Frist Humanitarian Award while at Palms West. In recent years, Mary was blessed with an extraordinary caregiver named Marcia Wright Russell and had a special bond with Marcia's husband, "Russell." Together with Lois, Danny and Laurel and many friends and neighbors, Mary enjoyed an exceptional quality of life until her passing.
