Mary Jane Simmons, 84, of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2021, surrounded by love and family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary Jane was a kind and loving soul who will be missed dearly. She was born on August 11, 1937 in the United Kingdom to Sara Rose and William Holland. She was one of five children which include William Holland, George Holland, Janet Stuart and Shirley Vessel. At the age of 22, she met and married her first husband Manuel Esparza, with whom she had five children. She later remarried James W. Simmons in 1972, who then continued to help her raise her children. She was widowed by the loss of her beloved husband James, on August 17th, 2018. She is survived by her children, Mary Simmons (Thomas), Roseanna Mata (Paul), Francisco Esparza (Crystal), Manuel Esparza and Bernadette Hills (Tim). Her Legacy continues on with her grandchildren, Thomas Simmons Jr., Tammy Simmons, Paul John Mata, Emilio Mata, Lisa Liebig, Frank Esparza, Aaron Esparza, Shawn Esparza, Alex Esparza, Ryan Esparza, April Esparza, Sandra Esparza, Manny Esparza, Tony Esparza, Sarah Hils, Heather Chase, Great Grandchildren Thomas Simmons III, William Simmons, Fabian Mata, Alexis Mata, Ava Mata, Lorenzo Ramos, Shayla Fultz, Shantell Fultz, Kamdyn St.Remy, Aurora Files and Clara Russell along with many nieces and nephews. Her passions in life were the Lord, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and making sure they all knew how much she cherished and loved them. Mary Jane will be remembered as being gracious, beautiful, full of life, funny, a generous soul to all who came into her life and a Woman of God. She loved a good cup of tea and to make bracelets and necklaces from beads with her own hands all the way until the last moments of her life. Mary Jane was successful in creating a beautiful life for herself and overcoming many obstacles along the way, and making sure her family was always taken care of. She has loved and has been loved by all who knew her. Her memories will live on with her family. There will be a private service for Family and Friends on Monday, September 27th, 2021. Mary Jane will be laid to rest alongside her husband James, a retired Air Force Tech Sergeant, at the South Florida (VA) National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
