Mary Ann Armatas

Mary AMary Ann Armatas, 70 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on August 20, 2008 after a brave battle with cancer. She was the ? TRUE? prayer warrior of the family that helped Andy's vision and her determination lead their family to many successful business ventures. Mary Ann was the backbone that founded Stark Maintenance in Ohio, Bagel Go Round, Annie's Hallmark, and Pete?s Place in West Palm Beach. Mary Ann was a native of Canton, Ohio, graduated from Timken High school in 1955. After graduating from high school she married her high school sweetheart, Andy on December 25, 1955. Mary Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Yiayia and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Andy. She is survived by her loving children John Armatas (Caron), Peter Armatas (Kathy), and Ann Marie Ferro (Rick). She was blessed with ten grandchildren, Adam (Christi), Andrew, Alexandra, Ricky, Calvin, Nicholas, Mackenzy, Jordan, Logan and Isabella and one great-grandson, Kale. She is also survived by her mother Anna Sengos, and her brother Jim Sengos (Sally) , her sisters-in-law, Mary Sprague (Ron), Athena Pachares (Tony), Diana Foradas (Peter) and Katheren Armatas. Her immeasurable faith and rich Greek Heritage provided her with many adoring family members, and countless friends. All of those who were blessed to have known and loved Mary Ann will cherish their memories of her love for God, her family, her generous spirit and courageous strength. Mary Ann ?Mom? will truly be missed by all. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home with a Trisagion service by Father Andrew Maginas at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Catherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 110 Southern Blvd., at 11:00 a.m., Monday with Entombment at Palm Beach Memorial Park, Lantana, FL.
