Martha Sue Smith

Martha Sue Smith ("Sue"), age 88, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in West Palm Beach, Florida surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born in Melbourne, Kentucky on March 12, 1936 to Henry Lee Hinkle and Katie Pearl Zimmerman Hinkle. She was preceded in death by her husband (Clifford Smith), all of her siblings, and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving sibling in her family. She is survived by her four children: Christie (Calvin), Shannon (Drew), Kami, and Angie and several nieces and nephews in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother (Meemaw), and Great-Grandmother to: 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sue was a very talented cake decorator where she worked and retired as well as a School Crossing Guard in her later years. She loved baking and decorating cakes, and enjoyed making sweets for everyone, (especially her famous chocolate fudge that everyone loved). Sue's passion and deep love for Jesus was an essential component of who Sue was and it reflected in just about everything she did. Everyone who met Sue was instantly drawn in and touched by her kindness, and open friendship. She loved her family more than anything. She was a member of Acts 2 Worship Center.
