WARREN, Marjorie LaneMarjorie Lane Warren, 82, of West Palm Beach, FL, entered into the Kingdom of God on the morning of Thursday, September 18, 2014. Born the youngest child to Murray and Omega "Betty" Lane in Selma, NC, she attended Meredith College to receive her Bachelor's degree before attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to earn her Masters of Education. She was a dedicated teacher of mathematics and computer science at Grimsley High School for 25 years, before moving to West Palm Beach, FL in 1999. An active member of her community in Greensboro, NC, Marjorie was the organist at Southside Baptist Church for 30 years, and was a member of the Avon President's Club. Marjorie loved the ocean. She spent many summers at the Outer Banks of North Carolina swimming, tanning, and reading Nora Roberts novels. Her other loves were gardening and baking. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed playing Bridge, and singing with the Choraliers. Her competitive spirit during a game of ping-pong was contagious; and her love of music was ever present. However, more than anything she loved her family; and her love, guidance, and inspiration will live on through them for generations to come. She is survived by her four children: Fred, Laura (David), Ken (Liisa), and Lane (Karen), as well as her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on September 25th. The family will begin receiving guests at 1:00PM, and the service will follow at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute.
