Marjorie Gaal

Marjorie Lappin Gaal, born in NYC on June 26 1920. The second oldest of four. Wife of the late Stephen Gaal Mother of five children; Stephen, Judi, John, Kathi and Susan. Grandmother to eight and great grandmother to two. Raised her family in Merrick, NY, where she was an active part of the community as a volunteer for FISH, lunch mother at Sacred Heart School, and "patterned" a local child who had neurological deficits, all while caring for her own large family. She was a daughter , sister, wife, mother and friend. Her sister, Buzzie, describes her as "very smart" (she graduated from high school in only three years, at the age of 17), easy going, kind , loving,understanding...to Buzzie she was "just great". She travelled with Stevie, while he was in the air force, and was stoic, while he was a prisoner of war,and she was home raising a young child. She loved and ENJOYED her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She showed love to others and in return was loved.
