Maritza De La Caridad Rubio

Maritza de la Caridad Rubio, 55, of Pahokee, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family and close friends on September 17, 2024 in Lake Worth, Florida. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Niece, and Friend who will tremendously be missed by all who knew her. Maritza was born and raised in Pahokee, Florida where she attended Pahokee Elementary, East Lake Middle and Pahokee High School, graduating in 1986. She began a career in the medical field where she worked as a Medical Assistant, an Office Manager and at the time of her passing a Medical Insurance Coordinator. Throughout her 35 year career she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. Maritza had a caring heart and a giving spirit, she would do and give anything to help a relative or friend. She was a strong independent woman who carried her heart on her sleeve and was always eager to share her knowledge. Above all, Maritza was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to raising her two beautiful daughters and cherished every moment spent with her granddaughters. No matter the challenges faced, she was always there to guide, support, and encourage them. Maritza loved spending time with her daughters and granddaughters, sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows. She enjoyed watching her grandbabies, Mia and Myla, who she loved more than anything on this earth. Affectionately referred to as "Titi" and "Ita" by her nieces and nephews, she cared for them as if they were her own. Maritza is survived by her loving Daughters: Mirayah Fields and Aliyah Fields. Granddaughters: Mia Skai Lurry and Myla Soul Lurry. Siblings: Benigno Jova (Sonia), Juan Rubio (Lynette), Felix Rubio (Toya), and Alina Walker (Derek). Devoted nieces and nephews Barbara, Sonia, Natalie, Jazlyn, Felicia, Ashley, Emilio, Damian, Eli, Maurice, Darius and a host of other relatives and close friends who love her and forever will cherish her memory.
