MARIE LOUISE STAHELIN BENDECK Marie Louise Stahelin Bendeck, 84, from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida died peacefully on Sunday January 18, 2015, surrounded by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews and close friends. She was born in San Diego, California October 26, 1930, the daughter of Swiss immigrants Rudolph Stahelin from Basel and Julianne Bornand from St. Croix. She is survived by her three sons: Victor Elias married to Sandra Pinel, Eduardo Victor married to Carolina López, and Oscar Rodolfo (Rudy) Bendeck married to Mirna (Mimy) Pinto, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Before retiring to our area, she worked as a microbiologist for the labs of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Orlando Florida, in Atlanta, Georgia and finally in Los Angeles, California until her retirement in 1996. Her retirement years were quite active. She volunteered a lot of her time, talent and treasure to the St. Clare's parish community. As a devout Catholic, St. Clare was very important to her. The Adopt A Cat Foundation will miss her dedication; Marie truly loved her cats. Throughout her life, Marie touched many lives and everyone who knew her loved her. She was such a kind and giving lady; her great spirit and kind heart will forever live in our memories. We will miss her dearly. Memorial services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Friday January 23, 2015 from 5 to 9 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday January 24, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach followed by funeral service at our Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
