Marian J. (Michitsch) Brooks "Mimmie", of Lake Worth, FL passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 26, 1959 in Queens, NY, the daughter of Ernie and Julianne Michitsch. Marian was a graduate of John A. Coleman High School in Hurley, NY and SUNY Ulster, in Stone Ridge, NY. She was a member of the Junior League of Kingston and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Boca Raton. She was also an active member of the CocoPlum Women's Group. Marian enjoyed golf, reading, and particularly spending time with her precious son Aidan, husband Allan and family and friends. Marian was a strong, selfless, remarkable person. She touched many lives with her kindness and generosity and she will continue to live in the hearts of all those who were blessed to have known her. Marian was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring daughter, an amazing sister, a wonderful aunt and Godmother and a thoughtful friend. She will be missed by many. Marian is survived by her husband of 15 years, Allan N. Brooks, her son Aidan Joel Brooks, her parents Ernie and Julianne Michitsch, Kingston, NY, three sisters Loretta D. Ede, New York, NY, Heidimarie Michitsch, Bonita Springs, FL, Karen-Christa Roets and husband Lindes, Lake Worth, FL, one brother Eric E. Michitsch, Boca Raton, FL, brother-in-law Jeffrey Brooks, Delray Beach, FL, and her nieces and nephews: Miranda Escobar and husband Elkin; Ryan, Julia, Olivia and Ethan Hofacker; Alexis and Angelica Roets; Eric J. Michitsch; Eric and Alex Brooks and great niece Sophia Escobar. Entrusted to the care of Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411, friends may call on Friday, March 14, 2014, from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 10:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Roman Catholic Church, 100 Crestwood Blvd. South, Royal Palm Beach, FL, 33411. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
