Maria Bertha Rodriguez (1950-2024) Maria Bertha Rodriguez, beloved mother to 4 children, 73, of Greenacres, FL, passed away at her home surrounded by family on June 26, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was born in Danville, IL, in 1950 to Jorge and Micaela (Cortez) Rodriguez and raised in Pharr, TX. She had four siblings: three brothers, Ernesto, Homer, and Gilbert, and one sister, Isidra. In the early 1960s, she moved to Belle Glade, FL, where she married and raised four children. Bertha was a devoted mother to John Navarro, Micaela Navarro, Natalia Cardenas, and Vanessa Cardenas, her pride and joy. Her love for her children was unwavering, and her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She instilled in them the importance of family, which they felt in her love and support. Bertha found immense joy in holidays and family gatherings. She cherished these moments and had fond memories of family experiences, which she lovingly shared with her children and grandchildren. Bertha was preceded in death by her father, Jorge, Mother, Micaela, Brother Homer, Sister Isidra, and beloved daughter, Vanessa. She is survived by her son, John (Lucy) Navarro; daughters, Micaela Navarro and Natalia (Gustavo) Cardenas, grandchildren Jimmy Maisonet Jr., Juan Navarro, Jorge Navarro, and Isabella Navarro; and a large extended family that includes nieces, nephews, and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
