Margaret Ann Scantland

Margaret Ann Scantland, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandma, aunt, and friend departed this earth on March 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Robert Shrum. By her two sons: Terry and Barry Scantland. Also, by her brothers: Walter, Reese, Billy, Robert, Rhea and Gene Shrum and sisters: Virginia Newsom, Jewell Brown, and Louise Scantland. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 incredible years, Arnold. Her sons: Gary (Karen) and Kenny Scantland; Daughters-in-love: Barbara (Steve) and Sherry (Hector), Grandchildren: Barry, Kari, Jennifer (Daniel), Andrew (Kate), Renee, Dalton, and Jennifer; Step-Grandchildren: Daniel and Michael; Great-grandchildren: Sophie, Luke, and Dean. And a host of wonderful nieces and nephews along with amazing forever friends. Born January 8, 1940 in Hartsville, TN and later moving to West Palm Beach, FL with her husband and 4 sons. She enjoyed a beautiful life. She traveled all over the world with her husband and groups of friends. She said she went every where that she had ever wanted to go. They enjoyed car shows, antiquing, and she loved collecting green glass. She always thought it was neat that she shared a birthday with Elvis Presley. She loved her shopping...there was not a pair of jeans or shoes safe when she walked into a TJ Maxx. She loved orchids, had the most amazing green thumb, and was absolutely tickled pink to watch her solar garden lights come on at night. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her and spend time with her. There will be no services held at this time.
