Margaret Mary (Maggie) Pinto (nee: Rice) of West Palm Beach, passed away on Monday, September 30. She was 90 years old. Born on January 26, 1929 in the Bronx, New York, Maggie graduated from Aquinas High School. Maggie was happily married to the late, Dr. Albert V. Pinto, Sr (De:1999)for 50 years and they raised four children together. Maggie was the daughter of Irish immigrants; Elizabeth Agnes O'Reilly of County Longford, Ireland and Francis Patrick Rice of County Monaghan. A woman of devout faith, a Roman Catholic, Maggie had a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary; the Rosary was always by her side. Her family was always her number one priority; she was the example of what a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter should be. Maggie was very active in the Irish-American Club in her community of Century Village. She volunteered for Hospice of Palm Beach, as she loved helping people. Her warmth, kindness and genuine personality lit up a room when she entered it. She found joy in volunteering as a fund raiser with the Ladies Auxiliary of Biscayne College, now known as St. Thomas University, in Miami. Maggie also enjoyed social activities as a member of the Red Hat Society. She had a passion for learning; from current events to the latest tutorials. Later in life, her iPad was her constant companion. Maggie was an avid reader…she LOVED a good mystery. Maggie is survived by two daughters: Deborah E. Pinto of West Palm Beach, Florida; Margaret M. O'Reilly, husband Steven, of Snellville, Ga and 5 grandsons. She lost her two beloved sons: Albert V. Pinto, Jr. (1986) and Kevin F.Pinto (2016). Maggie had a grace, elegance, sense of humor and smile that radiated from within; up until the end. She was a one of a kind lady. She will be missed immeasurably. Her memory will live on, in everyone she touched.
