MARGARET HELEN (EDWARDS) DENAULT NOVEMBER 30, 1930 – MAY 24, 2025 Margaret passed away on May 24, 2025 after a recent surgery. Margaret was 94 years old, born November 30, 1930 in Uxbridge, Middlesex County, London, England. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton A. Denault, Jr. who was employed and retired as a correctional officer in Massachusetts and upon moving to Florida in 1986, he was employed as a security guard in Palm Beach, County, FL. While living in Massachusetts, she belonged to the British Club and a local Sewing Circle Club and made many life-long friends there in Massachusetts. While living in Florida, Margaret was employed as an after-care school counselor in the Palm Beach County Public School System at Wellington Elementary School before retiring to care for her ailing husband. Margaret was a friend to many as a member of the St. Rita's Church and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the St. Rita Community Center. she lived with her husband in Wellington, FL for over 2 decades and then moved to Royal Palm Beach, FL after her husband passed away. She was currently residing at Harbor Chase Assisted Living now called Alamar Senior Living facility, in Wellington Crossing, FL where she quickly became loved by the staff and administration. Margaret enjoyed hosting parties for family & friends, cooking her favorite comfort foods, crafts, games, card games, happy hour and having a good "cuppa" tea…always adding after her first sip…"ahhhh, that's a good cuppa tea" or "Oh, that tea tastes good!" We all enjoyed hearing Margaret's laughter when she heard or saw something funny. She herself could get silly at times with family & friends and especially when she got together with her sister-in-law, Maureen, who lives in England Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Acushnet Cemetery, 91 Main St., Acushnet, MA 02743. She is survived by her two daughters Sharon (Denault) Yzaguirre and husband Andres and Charlene (Denault) Lakhdar and husband Sidi, a brother Peter Edwards, who resides in England along with her sister-in-laws—Linda Edwards, Maureen Edwards and Margie Denault. Other siblings predeceased are—Mickey Edwards (England), Brian Edwards (England) and Beryl (Edwards) Hengerle (Sebatian, FL). Margaret is survived by her beloved grandchildren—Hakim Lakhdar and wife Caitlin; Samir Lakhdar and fiancé Brittany Cartwright; Maritsa Yzaguirre Kelley and husband Joe; Tiffany Yzaguirre Vidal and husband Chris; Andriana Rowe and husband Nick; and Raquel Izaguirre and husband Scott; as well as many great grandchildren—Tyler Yzaguirre-Kelley, Ryder & Winter Yzaguirre-Kelley; Huxley & Minks Vidal; Colin & Declan Rowe; Kadin & Myron Lakhdar and Malcolm McGinnis & Aidan McGinnis and several nieces and nephews she dearly loved throughout the US and England. Flowers for gravesite may be sent to the Saunders-Dwyer Funeral Home at 495 Park St., New Bedford, MA 02740 or in lieu of flowers, we will have a Memory Fund Box at both Celebration of Life Memorials in MA & FL. There will be a viewing at Saunders-Dwyer Funeral Home, 495 Park St., New Bedford, MA 02740 on Saturday June 14, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. with an immediate funeral procession to the Acushnet Cemetery where a brief graveside service will be held as she is laid to rest beside her husband. Immediately following the graveside service at 11:00 a.m., there will be a CELEBRATION OF LIFE LUNCHEON for family and friends at the Century House, 107 So. Main Street, Acushnet, MA 02743.
