Manuel Monge Rosa

June 11, 1942 — June 26, 2022

Manolito, Manolo and Manny, were just a few of the loving nicknames he was given through the years by all who cherished him. He was brought into this world on June 11th, 1942, in his beloved island of Puerto Rico, by parents Epifania Rosa and Daniel Monge. Manuel Monge Rosa peacefully departed this world in the comfort of his home, how he wished, on Sunday June 26th, 2022, due to his ongoing battle with cancer, that only a true warrior like him could fight, until the golden age of 80. He never surrendered; his immense love for everyone is what kept him going strong for so many years after his diagnosis in 2007. He held on to his sheers until he could no more; he worked as a beloved barber to all he serviced, as his vocation, never a job, because he enjoyed every moment at the shop. When not working his other passions were fishing, playing dominoes and chess. Although he is not physically present in our lives, he will always be treasured for eternity in our hearts. He is survived by spouse: Felicia Monge, sister: Gloria Monge, nieces, and children: Emmanuel Monge, Brenda Monge, Javier Rivera, Wanda Hawkins, Angel Manuel Monge and their children.
