Madeline C. Roberts Madeline peacefully passed away on July 2, 2010 at Hospice of Palm Beach County, one week shy of her 90th birthday. Born in St. Lucia, West Indies, Madeline was a resident of South Bay, West Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, Wellington and Greenacres. She was predeceased by her husband Isaac Roberts and her son Michael. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Martinelli (Victor) of West Palm Beach, son Bob Roberts, daughters-in-law Jenny Roberts (Michael) of Brunswick, GA, Kathy Roberts of Kenosha, WI, sister Kay Jackson (Paul) of St. Lucia, grandchildren Ben Roberts (Julie) of Maumee, OH, Matthew Roberts of Brunswick, GA, Anthony Martinelli of West Palm Beach, Amy Martinelli of Gainesville, Brandon Perry, Joshua Ballas and Michael Roberts, great-grandchildren Remy and Olive Roberts of Maumee, OH. Madeline had many friends and acquaintances that loved her and the family wants to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire Austin and Martinelli families for including her as one of their own. A special thanks goes to Lou Ann Austin of Wellington who became her dear companion and to Margaret Doucette of West Palm Beach who was her friend for over 50 years. The family also thanks all the staff at Arbor Oaks assisted living in Greenacres where she was beautifully cared for the last four years and to everyone at Hospice of Palm Beach County who provided her the most compassionate care in her last week with us. Madeline was a fiery free spirit with a raucous sense of humor and loved to play cards games, especially bridge. Her wish would be for us to remember her with laughter, no tears and a wee sip of good single malt scotch. She will be memorialized by cremation and a private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
