Madelaine Martina Neptune, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024, at Good Samaritan Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida. Born in Vieux-Bourg d'Aquin, Haïti on August 10, 1932, she was the second daughter of the late Salnave Hibbert and Marguerite Hibbert (née Bossé). Martina was predeceased by her four siblings: Magna Hibbert-Barbier, Eulalie Hibbert-Lalanne, Orphélie Hibbert-Tertulien, and Robert Hibbert. Martina led an exemplary life marked by her dedication and unwavering love for her family and friends, whom she called daily to check on. After completing her secondary education in Vieux-Bourg d'Aquin, Martina married her late husband, Edny Neptune, in 1955. Edny passed away in 2003. Martina is survived by her eight children: Joël and his spouse Martine, Josée, Chantal, Jean-Roosevelt and his spouse Laura, Daniella and her spouse Frank, Otto-Gerald and his spouse Marlène, Eddie (deceased infant), Nadja, Stephanne and her spouse Frank. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren: Sybil and her spouse Dan, Michelle, Jennifer and her spouse Michael, Nathaniel (Tito), Lauren and her spouse Derek, Jonathan (Joey) and his spouse Bonnie, Mia and her spouse Chris, Christine, Jennifer N, Daniel, Sabina, Sean, Christopher and his spouse Grace, Melissa, Kaylan, Franchesca, Giovanni. 16 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Isaac, Jordan, Maya, Malaya, Kevin, Maylani, Michaela, Yaëlle, Demi, Eric, Noemi, Troy, Laila, Lilou, Grayson. And 2 Great-great-grandchildren: Landon and Nayeli. Martina's life was devoted to raising her eight children as a homemaker. Her lifelong passion was maintaining meaningful connections through letters, and phone conversations. Her annual New Year's "Soup Joumou Day" was an open-door invitation, welcoming waves of guests. Martina enjoyed reading her Bible, engaging in morning devotions, and listening to Family Radio. She generously donated to several charitable organizations. In addition to her role as a homemaker, Martina worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Eason Nursing Home in Lake Worth Florida, where she demonstrated her love and compassion for others. Martina Neptune's legacy of love, faith, and family will be cherished by all who knew her.
