Luis Renan Regalado Villegas

Con profundo pesar, pero también con inmensa gratitud por su vida, despedimos a Luis Renán Regalado Villegas, nacido el 25 de agosto de 1936, un hombre cuya integridad, sabiduría y vocación de servicio dejaron una huella eterna en todos quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Luis Renán fue un hombre honesto, intelectual, y dueño de una personalidad fuerte y noble. Orgulloso de sus valores y de su familia, vivió con una convicción admirable que marcó la vida de todos los que lo rodearon. Desde muy joven destacó por su brillantez académica. Estudió en el Colegio San Ramón de Cajamarca, donde obtuvo el primer puesto y fue distinguido con la medalla de honor. Su excelencia lo llevó a ser becado en la Universidad Agraria La Molina, donde se graduó como Ingeniero Agrónomo, profesión que ejerció con pasión, ética y dedicación. Su profunda vocación de servicio lo acompañó toda su vida y lo llevó a asumir diversos cargos de liderazgo Comunitario, fue Presidente del Club de Leones en Lima, impulsando obras sociales y comunitarias, Presidente de la Asociación de Propietarios de Maranga, guiando con responsabilidad y compromiso. Su paso por los Estados Unidos lo llevo a ser Presidente y Fundador del Club Latino de Palm Beach, promoviendo la unión, cultura y fraternidad entre los latinos. Amante incansable de la cultura y la historia, recorrió parte el mundo. En cada viaje, hallaba plenitud visitando museos, ciudades históricas y lugares emblemáticos que enriquecían su conocimiento y alimentaban su espíritu curioso. Disfrutaba intensamente de la buena comida, recorrer su querido Perú y, en especial, de regresar a su amada Cajamarca, donde se deleitaba con los platos exquisitos que le ofrecían y en ocasiones, se contagiaba de la alegría al bailar su querido Cilulo en las fiestas regionales Entre sus pasatiempos favoritos estaban también el fútbol y el ajedrez, actividades que disfrutaba tanto por pasión como por la reflexión, estrategia y emoción que le ofrecían. Por encima de todos sus logros, Luis Renán fue un hombre profundamente familiar y deja como su mejor legado personal a su querida esposa Minita a quien amaba entrañablemente, sus cuatro hijos, 9 nietos y 4 bisnietos quienes fueron siempre su mayor orgullo. Quienes lo conocieron recordarán su carácter íntegro, su amor por la cultura, su inteligencia excepcional y su corazón generoso. Luis Renán no solo deja recuerdos: deja valores, enseñanzas y un legado de amor, servicio y nobleza. Hoy lo despedimos con tristeza, pero también con infinito agradecimiento por haber tenido la fortuna de compartir la vida con él. Que Dios lo bendiga y que su luz nos ilumine por siempre. Luis Renán was an honest and intellectual man, with a strong and noble personality. Proud of his values and his family, he lived with an admirable conviction of purpose that shaped and influened the lives of all who surrounded him. From a young age, he stood out for his academic brilliance. He studied at Colegio San Ramón de Cajamarca, where he earned first place and was awarded the Medal of Honor. His excellence earned him a scholarship at Universidad Agraria La Molina, where he graduated as an Agronomical Engineer, a profession he practiced with passion, ethics, and dedication. His profound vocation for service accompanied him throughout his life and led him to assume various roles of community leadership. He served as President of the Lions Club in Lima, promoting social and community initiatives, and as President of the Maranga Homeowners Association, guiding with responsibility and commitment. His journey in the United States led him to become President and Founder of the Palm Beach Latino Club, promoting unity, culture, and fellowship among Latinos. A tireless lover of culture and history, he traveled throughout parts of the world. On every trip, he found fulfillment in visiting museums, historic cities, and emblematic places that enriched his knowledge and fed his curious spirit. He loved traveling back to his beloved Peru, and especially returning to his cherished Cajamarca, where he enjoyed his delicious Peruvian food and dancing traditional Cilulo during regional festivities. Among his favorite pastimes were listening to classic music, soccer and chess; he enjoyed not only for passion but also for the challenge, strategy, and excitement they offered. Above all his achievements, Luis Renán was a deeply family-oriented man. He leaves behind his personal legacy through his beloved wife of 62 years, Belermina, whom he loved dearly; his four children (Constantino Luis, Jorge, Renán and Rocio); nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy. Those who knew him will remember his integrity, love for culture, exceptional intelligence, and his generous heart. Luis Renán leaves us not only with memories, he also leaves his values, teachings, legacy of love, service, and nobility. Today we bid him farewell with sadness, but also with infinite gratitude for the blessing of having shared life with him.
