In Loving Memory of Luis van Oordt July 30, 1954 – April 18, 2025 Luis van Oordt, a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on April 18, 2025. Born on July 30, 1954, in Lima, Peru, to Cesar van Oordt and Nerida Bohl, Luis grew up with two brothers and carried the strong values of family, kindness, and hard work throughout his life. He earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Federico Villarreal National University in Lima, Peru. In 1986, Luis, his wife Liliana, and their eldest son Giuseppe moved to Florida, where he established his own company and built a new life rooted in love, perseverance, and community. He and Liliana shared 42 wonderful years of marriage, raising two children and later welcoming three beloved grandchildren. Luis was known by all who met him for his kindness, generosity, and compassion. His dedication to his family, his work, and his faith left a lasting impact on everyone around him. His legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering integrity. A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 12:00 p.m. at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 390 S Sequoia Dr., West Palm Beach, FL 33409. Visitation will take place at West Funeral Home and Cremation, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411, on Sunday, May 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Luis's memory will be treasured always and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Nacido el 30 de julio de 1954 en Lima, Perú, hijo de Cesar van Oordt y Nerida Bohl, Luis creció junto a sus dos hermanos, llevando siempre consigo los sólidos valores de la familia, la bondad y el trabajo duro. Obtuvo su título de Ingeniero Civil en la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal en Lima, Perú. En 1986, Luis, su esposa Liliana y su hijo mayor Giuseppe se mudaron a Florida, donde estableció su propia empresa y construyó una nueva vida basada en el amor, la perseverancia y la comunidad. Luis y Liliana compartieron 42 maravillosos años de matrimonio, criando a dos hijos y más tarde recibiendo con amor a tres nietos. Luis era conocido por todos los que lo conocieron por su amabilidad, generosidad y compasión. Su dedicación a su familia, su trabajo y su fe dejó una huella imborrable en quienes lo rodearon. Su legado es uno de amor, fortaleza e integridad inquebrantable.
