Lucia Pastor

On January 24th, 2019, Lucia Pastor peacefully passed away at the age of 90. She was surrounded by loved ones who cared about her deeply. Lucia was born in Lima, Peru on November 6th, 1928 to Abelardo (father) and Lucia (mother) Pastor. The highest degree Lucia accomplished was a High School diploma. In her early 50s she moved to the United States as half of the Pastor family moved to Florida. Lucia found a job as a seamstress and was known to be very independent throughout her life. A little while later, she became a U.S. citizen and was known to have a strong character. Lucia tried to start a family but never had the opportunity to get married or have children. She did meet a Japanese pilot whom she found interest in but departed ways as life took her on a different route. Lucia's family has always thought of her to be very helpful. Jackie Pastor Rodriguez had some great memories with her. "She would always take care of everyone first before she took care of herself. My tia's laugh and smile will be something I will always cherish forever." During family get togethers, Lucia would be reserved at times. She never liked taking pictures but when she was in the mood, Lucia would laugh and dance salsa music throughout the night. Her family made this tribute. "Lucia was the most helpful, caring and independent person you will ever meet. With her presence in the room, she could make you laugh or smile whenever you needed it." Lucia's niece, Jackie Pastor Rodriguez, took care of her and made her feel as comfortable as she can be. Not one day passed that Lucia didn't feel loved. She was always surrounded by a room full of loved ones.
