Loveda Gay Anderson of Haverhill, FL passed away in the loving arms of family early Wednesday morning on November 2, 2022 at age 88. Loveda worked at Pratt & Whitney for over 33 years. She started as a welder and worked her way up to being an inspector. She was well recognized by all who worked with her. She was proud to have welded titanium flaps on a space shuttle engine headed for NASA and she worked on engines for many aircraft. She also worked on elevators. Loveda was born in Waycross, GA to William and Lucinda Keaton. She was the eleventh child. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby J "Andy" Anderson, and her son David Nichols. She is survived by a sister Mildred Horton, two children, Kenneth Nichols of Okeechobee, FL and Lorie Nichols-Russell of Gainesville, FL; five grandchildren: Matthew (Tiffany) Nichols, Carina (David) King, Tiffany Russell, Daniel Russell and Deborah Nichols; as well as three stepchildren Tarrie (David) Hofman, Sharrie (Terry) Zarelli, and Michael Anderson, and four step grandchildren: Nathan (Julie) Hofman, Abigail (Andrew) Hedinger, Seth Hofman and Havilah (Emily) Bolyard; along with a combined total of 20 great grandchildren. She will missed by many including her longtime beloved companion, Baby, her Siamese cat. A memorial service will be held on November 19 at 11 am at West Pines Baptist Church, 4906 Melaleuca Lane, Greenacres, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to West Pines Baptist Church or to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, as both were causes dear to her heart.
