Lorraine L. Rupolo

ROYAL PALM BEACH - Lorraine L. Rupolo, 90, of Royal Palm Beach, Fl passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024. She was born in Fall River, Mass. on May 17, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Emilia Mendonca Lemes. She graduated from Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, Conn. and also earned an Associate's degree in liberal arts. She was employed by the Westboro Public School System for many years, Data General and then eventually worked with special need adults and rehabilitation both in Worcester, Mass. and Riviera Beach, Fl. until her retirement in 2006. She was married to Saverio R. Rupolo for 26 years with whom they raised six children: Linda Rupolo Funderburk of Tallahassee, Fl, Cheryl Rupolo of Worcester, Mass, Dominic Rupolo and wife Gloria of West Palm Beach, Fl, Michael Rupolo and wife Lori of Shrewsbury, Ma, Thomas Rupolo and wife Wende of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl and John Rupolo of Baton Rouge, La. Her brother Dennis S. Lemes predeceases her. She is survived by her sister Joyce Lemes Lehr of Southington, Conn. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved laughing, cooking and going for long walks. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially Mary Lou Scott of Westborough, Ma, her special friend for over 50 years. Lorraine was kind, warm hearted and generous. She sacrificed for her family and was always there when you needed her. She will be missed by all and will live on forever in our hearts. Funeral Services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home, Royal Palm Beach, Fl on Friday, December 27, 2024. Visiting Hours will be from 11 am to 1 pm followed by a prayer service at 2 pm.
