Lois Edna Letang

On September 24, 2021, Lois Le Tang was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. She received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there are no tears, sadness, or fears. She confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Trinity Church in her native home Jamaica, West Indies. Lois loved Christ and kept him centered all through her life. Lois Le Tang (Edna Louise Ennis) was born May 24, 1925, to Ivanhoe Ennis and Mary Blissett in Mount Olivet, Saint Ann's Parish, Jamaica, West Indies. She was predeceased by her parents, Ivanhoe Ennis and Mary Blissett, her husband Clarence Eril Le Tang, and her siblings Ruby, Gladys, Katlyn, Mel, Wilhelmina (Mena), Leslie, Vincent, and Freda. Lois was the first of her family to migrate to the United States in 1959. She migrated to the United States in hopes of continuing her education and seeking opportunities for advancement for herself and her family. She enjoyed traveling and cherished the company of her family and friends. She was a creative and skilled seamstress. Lois held a special passion for fashion design, Operatic music. In her early years, she loved the theatrical arts and performing and singing the gospels. Lois resided in Brooklyn, New York before retiring from Blue Cross, Blue Shield. Shortly after retiring, she joined the Saks Fifth Ave retail family in New York and later relocated to Florida where she continued to work with Saks Fifth Ave in Fort Lauderdale for several more years. She retired from Saks just before moving to Royal Palm Beach Florida. Educational advancement was a top priority in her life. She instilled a strong work ethic, determination, and resiliency in her children. She attended SUNY, Fashion Institute of Technology where she earned her Associates' Degree in Fashion Art and Design. Lois also holds certifications in various Computer Languages, Financial Accounting, and Business Communications from Baruch College, Brooklyn College, and New York University. Lois was a lifelong learner-- she continued her educational pursuits well into her seventies. Her life, memories, infectious laughter, beauty, style, and elegance, charismatic spirit, love, and devotion to her family and friends will always be cherished by her children: Michael, Juliet, and Debra; her sisters; Ethlyn Ennis and Rose Pearce; her grandchildren: Jermaine, Ayanna, Jabari, Zahra, Ajene, Nicole, Cameron, Katlyn, and Jayden; her nieces, and nephews: Pamela, Leslie, Errol, Neville, Larry, Tyrone, Philip, Paul, Debbie; her angel Dr. Nicole Barnes McGrath; her best friends; Shirley McGrath and Manzie Miekel; and a host of loving cousins, family members and friends.
