Lloyd George Barnes was born in Portland, Jamaica on March 30, 1928 to Annie and Cyril Barnes. He was the youngest of 3 children with his older brother Roy and sister Eileen preceding him in death. Lloyd met the love of his life, Sheila Theresa Scott and they were married on September 21, 1955. They were faithful members of St. James Parish Church in Montego Bay and raised 3 children, Maureen, Wayne and Jacqueline. They also raised their niece Leonie and helped raise niece Sandra. Lloyd worked as a Chemist at the Sugar Factory in Montego Bay and years with Public Works as a mechanic until deciding to relocate to the United States. The Barnes Family relocated to Rochester, NY in 1979 where they became members of St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Lloyd worked as a mechanic and later as an electrician while in Rochester. Lloyd and Sheila relocated to West Palm Beach in 1984 where they transferred their membership to Grace Episcopal Church and he has been a member for 41 years. He worked at St. Mary's Medical Center over 20 years until retiring. Lloyd continued to live an active life with his family and in his church until his death on April 15, 2025 after his health started to fail him over the last 4 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Maureen, son Wayne (Mary). Grandchildren Danielle (Ansel), Ashley(Stephen), Aaron (Detishia), Wayne Jr, Morrell and Brandon (Tiffany) whom they also raised. 8 Great-Grand Children: Caleb, Samuel, Ava G., Nathan, Ava M., Alexander, Arabella and Ezekiel. His in-laws Dahlia, Shirley and Hudson (Gracie), Nieces and Nephews Jennifer, Leonie, Claudia, Sandra, Thadene, Trevor, Joy, Tony and Delroy.
