Lisa Ann O'Neil, 56, of Loxahatchee, FL, formerly of Fairmount, IL, passed away at 8:23 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2020, in West Palm Beach, FL. Lisa attended Fairmount Grade School and Jamaica High School, before graduating from Parkland Community College in 1985 with her license in Practical Nursing. Lisa continued her education at Miami Dade College graduating with her license in Registered Nursing in 1993. Lisa was born on July 15, 1964, in Danville, IL, daughter of Wayne and Connie (Fitzsimmons) Turpin. She married Patrick Michael O'Neil on May 1, 1993, in Pompano Beach, FL; he survives and resides in Loxahatchee, FL. Survivors include one daughter Shannon Nicole O'Neil of Sunapee, NH; mother-in-law, Diane (Samuel) Truitt of Dandridge, TN; one sister, Mary (John) Kuczera of Champaign, IL; two brother-in-laws, Robert (Amy) O'Neil of Loxahatchee, FL, John (Leslie) O'Neil of Pompano Beach, FL; one sister-in-law, Beth (Bob) King, Canonsburg, PA; three nephews, Kalin and Trent Richardson, Joey and Dane O'Neil, Frank DeThomas; and one niece, Emilee Kuczera. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Jack O'Neil. Lisa spent her life long career at the VA Hospital as an RN. Lisa loved her Vets. Her pride and joy was her daughter, Shannon, who she loved. Lisa enjoyed spending time watching Shannon play softball for many years as well as her continued accomplishments throughout life. Lisa's family would like to say a special thanks to Lisa's co-workers at the VA in the GI Department for their support through this difficult time. There will be a memorial scheduled at a later date.
