Linda D. Soto

Linda D. Soto, 71, of Wellington, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Born in Lewiston, Maine, she was the daughter of Mr. Frank Mills, Sr. and Evelyn (Ferguson) Cosgrove. Linda enjoyed pageants in her youth and with hard work and dedication eventually represented the state of Maine as Miss Maine in the Miss America contest in 1959. Afterwards, Linda put herself thru nursing school earning an R.N. degree. Shortly after graduation, Linda moved to Belle Glade, FL to work at Glades General Hospital where she would meet and marry her husband, Dr. Manuel L. Soto. She enjoyed working with her husband in his 40 year practice in Belle Glade. Linda loved reading, history, American literature and, of course, she loved her lobster! Linda's memory will be cherished by her loving sons Manuel L. Soto III (Tamara L. Soto), Christopher F. Soto and her granddaughter Isabella Faith Soto, all of Wellington, FL. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery.
