Linda J. Gay

Linda Lane Gay, 76, of West Palm Beach, died Friday (Feb. 27, 2026), leaving behind a family who will forever cherish her love and warmth. She was known for filling her home with comfort, especially the smell of her homemade pies. Baking wasn’t just something she did; it was one of the many ways she showed love. Holidays were her specialty, and at Christmas, her home sparkled with her Christmas village decorations, carefully placed year after year and creating memories her family will always hold close. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Sasha, who preceded her in death. Their bond was a sweet and steady companionship. Above all, she cherished her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. Her warmth, traditions, and the simple joys she created will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don; four sons: Donald (Vickie), Daniel (Terri), Christopher (Lanie), and Timothy; 13 grandchildren: Crystal McLaughlin (Terry), Heather Gay McCoy (Jarvis), Dominick Gay (Tiffany), Michael Gay, Michaela Sherry (Griffin), Zackary Simpson, Brandon Gay, LeeAnn Gay, Lillian Simpson-Gay, Addison Taylor, Lola Simpson-Gay, Ava Taylor, and Matthew Taylor; and two great grandchildren: Elijah Sherry and Mia Sherry.
