Leroy "Lee" Gorham of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013. The youngest son of Louise & Coleman Gorham, Lee was born in Boston, Massachusetts. As a teen he was a lifeguard at his neighborhood beach. He served in the 11th Airborne Division of the US Army as a parachutist. He retired from the city of Boston Parks & Recreation Department as Supervisor before moving permanently to Florida. Lee got a kick out of joking with the youngsters whenever the opportunity arose. He had always enjoyed reading Sherlock Holmes or ship wreck stories, loved music and dabbled with a keyboard for a while. On most weekends he could be found watching football or baseball, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. He is predeceased by his loving wife Jeanne (Sances) Gorham, son William (Billy) Gorham, brother's Kenneth & Gerard Gorham and sister Audrey. He is survived by his loving wife Clare M. Burke, his daughters Jeanmarie (Gorham) Benoist & Lynda (Gorham) Cyr, his grandchildren Noel (Benoist) Elvir and Margo (Benoist) Merkle , Justin & Krystal Cyr, Nicholas & Cady Gorham, great grandchildren Genevieve & Erick Merkle and Luke & Noah Elvir,. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
