Leonard Mecca

Leonard Mecca, age 89 of West Palm Beach, Florida entered into rest on August 20th, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine Mecca (Eppolito), his loving children Lori Schwab (Joseph), Thomas Mecca (Patricia), Kimberly Pero (Peter), Melonie Catalano (Louis), his late son Mark Mecca (Kristine); 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Carmella Cordaro. He was Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Carrie Mecca (Catalino). As well as by his siblings Lucy, Peter, Catherine, Ida, Louis and Vito. Born May 20th, 1933 in Brant, NY. Leonard was the youngest of eight children and last remaining brother of the Mecca Brothers who farmed fruits and vegetables in Western New York and South Florida. Leonard and his three brothers owned and operated Mecca Farms, Inc. growing various fruits, vegetables, and citrus. He and his family are mainly known for the tomatoes that they grew, packed, and shipped in Lantana, FL. They also owned multiple John Deere Dealerships in Western New York and were members of Welch's Grape Co-Op and Growers & Packers Canning Co-Op.
