Leona Harriet Stirling, 81, of Wellington, FL., passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Gaston (Gus) and Elsie Kintzburger. Leona was an award winning artist who graduated from C.W. Post University in Long Island, NY with a Master's Degree in Fine Arts. Her works are on display in various galleries in the United States and Europe. She taught art at the elementary, high school and college levels in Long Island, West Palm Beach and Boca Raton for more than 35 years and was published in Who's Who in American Women for her art accolades. Leona's memory will be cherished by her children, Dr. Jerold (Susan) Stirling, Cary (Janette) Stirling and David (Migdalia) Stirling; grandchildren, Eddie, Kelly, Geoffrey, Andrew (Jackie), Daniel, Adam and Eli; and a very recent great grandson, Tyler. Leona will be laid to rest with her loving husband Paul Stirling, 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
