Lena Goodson Mock, 89, passed away on May 11, 2020. She was born at her maternal grandparents home (Sam and Mittie Richards Story) in Holopaw, Florida, the first of 12 children to Arago and Callie Story Goodson on June 13, 1930. She was a resident of Palm Beach County most of her life. Lena grew up in Sand Cut, Florida and graduated from Pahokee High School. She then began her career in West Palm Beach working in the Palm Beach County Courthouse as a secretary for Judge Douglas, then personal secretary for several lawyers until her retirement. Lena was a deeply devoted Christian who was very active in the Church and held many positions from Sunday School teacher to Secretary. She was a very kind and compassionate friend to everyone she knew and was never to busy to offer her help to anyone in need. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Marvin, Jimmy, Charles and Silvia Cox; and husband Stanley Mock. She was the loving mother of Larry Mock, Sharon Mock (Kenneth) Ward and Robin Mock (Richard) Christian, plus 6 grandchildren, Michelle Henderson, Crystal Vargas, Shannon Giles, Clinton (Jennifer) Giles, Gary (Dana) Blocker, Candice Blocker (Michael, Jr.) Stossel and 8 great grandchildren, Nicole, Harley, Sabrina, Christopher, Brayden, Case, Hayden, Mason. Also siblings Robert Goodson, Joann Willis, Ronnie Goodson, Joyce Weber, Roy Goodson, Betty Kelly and Darrell Goodson. Along with 21 nieces and nephews, 35 grand nieces and nephews and 14 great-grand nieces and nephews. Due to the coronavirus health issues, no services will be held. There will be a private viewing for immediate family only.
