Lawrence Joseph Hayde

Lawrence J. Hayde, 88 years young, of Royal Palm Beach, died peacefully after a brief stay at Hospice of Palm Beach County on January 30, 2008. Born 9-19-1919, he was the 9th of 11 children of the late Joseph and Jeanette Graham Hayde, and step-son of the beloved Anna Dorry. He was a veteran of WWII. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 68 years, Catherine (Borsch), daughters Kathleen H. Ateshian of Royal Palm Beach, Laurel H. Zimmermann and husband Ed of Darien, CT.; 4 grandchildren, Ronald Ateshian and wife Lorraine, Debra A. Zeis and husband Kevin, Jeffrey Zimmermann and Lauren Zimmermann; 4 great-grandchildren, Kane, Mary, Alexa and Matthew Ateshian; 2 sisters, Jane Dorry and Helen Dorry, and 20 nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by son Lawrence Michael Hayde, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. The family would like to acknowledge the loving care of the doctors and nurses at Palms West Hospital and Hospice of Palm Beach County. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday February 2nd at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Parish at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Parish of 100 Crestwood Blvd. S., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 or The American Cancer Society.
