Lawrence Dean Allwine

Lawrence D. Allwine, a dedicated father, beloved grandfather, and committed fireman, passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on September 8, 1957, Lawrence lived a life marked by courage, service, and unwavering love for his family and community. Throughout his distinguished career as a fireman, Lawrence exemplified bravery and selflessness, always putting the safety and well-being of others first. He took great pride in being a part of the brotherhood and sisterhood of the Hollywood Fire Department. Beyond his professional life, Lawrence's greatest pride and joy were his children, Andrew Allwine and Leanna Allwine, and his cherished grandchildren. He was a pillar of strength and support to his family, instilling values of integrity, hard work, and compassion. He was also an avid South Florida sports fan passing that love on to his son who will carry his fandom forward for the years to come. Lawrence's legacy is one of dedication, love, and service. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother Joan Allwine, son, Andrew Allwine, daughter, Leanna Allwine, and his grandchildren Paisley, Hunter, Adalina, Peyton, and Lyla who will carry forward his spirit and values. A celebration of Lawrence's life will be held on Saturday February 15th from noon to 2pm at the Firefighters Union Hall in Hollywood, FL (310 S. 62nd Ave Hollywood, FL). Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to pay their respects and share in the remembrance of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family to help support them during this difficult time and honor Lawrence's lifelong commitment to helping others.
