Laurel Saracco Bennett

Laurel Bennett, of Royal Palm Beach, sadly passed away on May 18th from an ongoing battle with cancer. She was 66 years old. Though her cancer has been prominent, her death was sudden and the family is deeply saddened by this loss. Laurel was born on January 29th, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Laurel, eventually, then moved down to Florida. Laurel became an engineer and worked with Pratt and Whitney on their space shuttle engines. After starting a family, she went back to school to study medicine and eventually graduated. Shortly after, she became a business owner and founded PHR Solutions. Over the next few years she put her heart and soul into her work. In addition to owning her own business, Laurel put focus into bettering her community. She ran for office in the town of Palm Beach and worked diligently to better not just her life, but the life of others. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, dancing, cooking and playing with her pets. She was also an avid fan of watching TV shows. Everyone who knew Laurel knew how special she was. Laurel was always full of light and joy that was genuine without doubt. Laurel was always there to lend a hand when help was needed. Even if it meant driving across the country she would be there. Laurel is survived by her son, two daughters, two sisters, a brother, and an abundance of friends. She will be greatly missed. Contributions in memory of Laurel are more than welcome.
