Kevin P. Morris

With great sadness we announce the passing of Kevin P. Morris on July 29, 2022. He died peacefully in Wellington, FL after a brief illness. Born in Jackson Heights, NY on May 2, 1938 to Margaret and Peter Morris, Kevin was proud of his Irish heritage and New York roots. He was a graduate of St. John's Preparatory School in Astoria, NY and attended St. John's University until he joined the U.S. Army in 1959. Stories of his Army buddies and experiences were fondly recalled throughout the rest of his life. Following his discharge in 1962, he had a successful business career in New York City, the last 15 years of which he spent as an owner and principal of JKC Associates, Inc., a provider of computer forms and supplies, business forms and commercial printing to a wide variety of clients including the New York Stock Exchange, the Israeli Consulate, Visiting Nurse Service of NY, and Chase Bank and other Fortune 500 companies. In 1966 he married Mary Tree (Twig) Hatlelid. They raised their family in Woodside, NY and later in Wyckoff, NJ until his retirement. In 2004 Kevin and Twig moved to Wellington, FL where he became active in local volunteer groups for several years. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and beloved pets who meant the world to him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Christine Wood (Steve) of Wellington, FL and Kathryn (Katie) Morris, (Jason McCarthy), and grandson Benjamin McCarthy of Burlingame, CA. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at a later date at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Lake Worth, FL. Donations in his memory may be made to your favorite animal welfare organization.
