"Jesus said to her, " I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though may die, He shall live." John 11:25 Ketty Charles Cenatus was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on August 2, 2018. She was an exceptionally vibrant and loving wife to Emmanuel (Gogo) Cenatus of 11 years, adopted mother to Steeven and stepmother to Alexandra and Gaelle. She will be mourned by her adopted mother, Clergina Charles. She will be missed by her sister Roseleine; her brother Ernst and is wife Valerie; her brother Obed and his wife Louimise; her brother Jean Claude and sister Marie. She will be remembered by numerous nephews and nieces including: Umad, Peterson, Stanley, Angelie, Nashka, Cassandra, Jason, Ivy, Ernst Jr, Kevin, Vanessa, Josua, Naissa, Jose. A loving niece, she leaves behind her uncles and aunts: Jacques B. Charles and his wife Marie Helene, Evelyne and Father Jean Gabriel, and her cousin, Telius and his wife, Marthe Jean-Baptiste. She was a dotting older cousin to Meedlen, Agathe, Michael, Gerly, Martine, Martin and Michèle. She leaves behind her in-laws: Charmand, Miriame and Marie-Carmelle. She will forever be mourned by the women who have been been her confidants and cousins and best friends during her life's journey: Marie Paule, Dunia, Germaine, Lourdes and Lea. So many families are mourning the loss of our beloved Ketty's passing and include: Cenatus, Charles, Toussaint, Larose, Mathieu, Jean-Baptiste, Gilbert, Dumas, Pierre, Jean-Louis, Sylien and Joseph. The beloved Ketty, nicknamed "Keket", was born April 11, 1963 on the beautiful island of Haiti. She was raised by her mother, Elionne (deceased) until the age of 8 and raised by her father, Joseph (deceased) and her adopted mother Clergina. Her educational journey in childhood began at "Immaculee Conception" school followed by the completion of her baccalaureate at George Mac. Although she was living in Port-Au-Prince, she maintained a constant relationship with her mother and siblings. God always had a significant role in her life until the very end where God's words of comfort through songs always played. She completed the sacrament of baptism, first communion and confirmation and later the sacrament of marriage to her beloved husband Gogo. God blessed her immensely when he sent Gogo her way. They had a healthy and loving marriage that can be easily observed by their ease, shared laughter and care for one another's well-being. They experienced a love that many people yearn to experience and it was expressed until she took her last breath. Ketty was a woman who had held the characters of strength, courage and persistence despite life's setbacks. She immigrated to the United States for better opportunities and to continue to support her family. No matter the jobs she held, she always provided for them financially. Her perseverance for success led her to obtain a degree as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner in 2009. Ketty LOVED her family! She exemplified her love since she was a young woman. Many can recall her willingness to be present and helpful to her elders, family and friends. In her love for her family, Ketty and Gogo renewed their vows in Boston, MA to ensure her love was celebrated with all of her family. Although she lived in West Palm Beach, FL, Ketty has maintained contact to the group of women she grew up with who mostly resides in Massachusetts. While she was very ill, she risked her life and traveled to be at cousins Martine's and Michael's weddings as well as her brother in-law's Olibert's funeral in Haiti. Ketty had a close relationship with God and it was expressed in her sorrows and in her joys. She loved listening tirelessly to religious songs and she would sing while doing household chores. During her last days, spiritual songs filled her room. Family and friends, I pray you find comfort knowing that Ketty was God's child and He lend her to us for a short time and this was her time. She lived a full life and while we mourn, hold close your experiences of laughter and warmth to keep you until you meet her again. As we continue to mourn for sometime, let us hold on to God's promises: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Isaiah 43:2 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
