Kenneth S. Eldred

Kenneth S Eldred was born April 23, 1932 in Greene, New York to Grace and Lionel Eldred. Ken was the youngest of 3 boys growing up and working on a dairy farm. Ken met the love of his life Elsie at the Grangehall at the Saturday square dance in Norwich, New York. Ken and Elsie were married September 20, 1952 in Norwich. They moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1955 and he worked as a welder for several years. Ken later became a general contractor and built single family homes and condominiums in Oakland Park, Plantation, Coral Springs and Parkland Florida. In retirement he built his final home in Lake Worth and a house for his daughter. Ken and family spent many years vacationing in their RV and went as far as Calgary for the Calgary Stampede. For many years they enjoyed fishing in the Keys and on Lake Okeechobee. Ken and his sons made a yearly trip to upstate New York to go deer hunting. In the final years Ken enjoyed taking care of his farm in Lake Worth, including caring for his Grandhorse Tammy Fay, mowing the grass, and riding the golf cart. Ken is survived by his wife Elsie, Sons Richard, Steven and James & wife Cindy, Daughter Kristine. Grandchildren- Dereck, Brent, Brad, Amanda, Karin, Brandon and great grandchildren Jacob, Avery, Nicholas, Madison, Kensy, Ava, Cecelia, Nathan, Charlotte and Elsie and loyal dog Rosie. Ken was blessed for 86 years with loving friends and family who will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charity of their choice in Ken's memory.
