Kathy Dillard-Franklin, 55, of Franklin, NC died peacefully and went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 11, 2011, after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in South Florida, she was the daughter of the late Mabel S. Jeter. She lived in West Palm Beach, FL for a number of years before moving to Franklin, NC where she was a real estate broker with a real estate company. Kathy was a member of FUMC and a 1975 graduate of John I. Leonard High School. She was preceded in death by her son Justin Parker. She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Ronnie Franklin; son, Ronnie Franklin Jr., of Franklin, NC; daughter, Julie (Lawrence) Williams, of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren; Brianna, Tyler, Curt, Dustin, Stephanie, and Lindsey; three sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends. She was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, aunt, and friend extraordinaire. She was and always will be our hero and an inspiration to all. The family will receive friends at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach, FL on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place following the service at 2:15 PM at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
