Kathleene Lynne Rowe

December 29, 1962 — July 14, 2023

Kathleene Lynne Rowe, 60 passed away on July 14, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones after a long courageous battle with ataxia. Kathy was born in Lake Worth, Florida on December 29, 1962, to Chuck and Barbara Freeman. She attended Lake Worth Community High School, graduating in 1981. In 1980 Kathy became a member of the American German Club of the Palm Beaches, where she met Robert Rowe. The two would become inseparable, and long before, it was clear he was the love of her life. After dating for 8 years, Kathy and Robert married on April 23, 1988. After graduating with her associate's degree from Palm Beach Junior College, she accepted the job as a cake decorator at Publix. Kathy cherished family more than anything else, and as their new family grew to include their son, Ryan Rowe, and their daughter, Kristy Rowe, she eventually left her job at Publix to become a stay-at-home mom. She routinely cared not only for her own two children, but also for her extended family's children. Kathy had a passion for the water, loving both the boat and jet ski. She would often be found with her family and close friends taking trips to Peanut Island, boating down the intercoastal, or going fishing. Kathy and Robert had agreed they wanted to travel after he retired, but as her illness progressed, it became apparent time was growing short. Robert purchased a camper in 2018 and the family began taking trips together. Their destinations included Disney's Fort Wilderness, Ft. Myers, Peace River in Arcadia, as well as trips to Georgia, and Tennessee. Kathy was predeceased by her mother Barbara Dick (Freeman), Father Charles (Chuck) Freeman, and stepfather Herbert E. Dick. Kathy is survived by her Husband, Robert Rowe and her two children Ryan Rowe and Kristy Rowe. She is also survived by her stepmother Linda Freeman and her four siblings Jackie Freeman, Herbert Dick Jr., Angella Bundy, and April Freeman. She also has nieces and nephews who are too numerous to be listed. A viewing will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on July 24, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church on July 25, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kathy's name to The National Ataxia Foundation. https://www.ataxia.org/
