Kathleen Margaret Harriet Giersher

Kathleen Margaret Harriet Giersher passed away peacefully on October 17, 2019 at 75 years old. A loving and devoted Mom, she was a woman of many talents and hobbies, creative and artistic; also an avid nature lover. Camping, birdwatching, photography, gardening,were all interests of hers. She grew up in Baldwin, Long Island, eventually making her way down to Florida in her college years and fell in love with the tropical state. After raising dairy goats and enjoying the small family farm life for many years, she then developed a passion for writing. A gifted and talented artist, she loved to write poems, especially about alligators! Here are one of her favorites: A poacher hunting in Taylor Slough Had plans for an alligator stew But those plans were soured When he was devoured By the gator that flipped his canoe! Katie will be remembered by many for her kind and loving personality, always smiling with those bright blue eyes! She is survived by her 2 children Joe Giersher and Kerry Giersher. We both love you and wish you peace in your final resting place!
