Katharine "Bunny" Miller Jones

Katharine Miller Jones of WPB, FL, known to all who loved her simply as "Bunny,” passed away on July 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, energy, and love.

Born in Washington, D.C., on Easter Sunday, April 20, 1930, to Allison Nailor Miller and Katharine Roth Miller, she grew up as the fourth of five children. She attended Mount Vernon Seminary for Girls and Connecticut College before marrying James Lawrence Myers, with whom she raised four devoted sons. She later married Dr. Gus Jones.

To know Bunny was to witness a woman who truly embraced life. Never one to sit still, she brought a positive, fun spirit and tireless energy to everything she touched. A talented artist and athlete, she loved painting, golf, tennis, croquet, fishing, cooking, traveling, and arranging flowers for her church. Her greatest joy was being with family whom she loved deeply.

She was a member of Mayacoo Lakes Country Club and The National Croquet Center. As a member of Lake Toxaway Country Club, she spent countless summers in the mountains of NC and was a beloved member of that community. She was a member of PEO and the Palm Beach Sewing Circle.

Bunny is survived by her four sons, Jim (Becky) Myers, Bill (JoAnn) Myers, Ken Myers, and Ted Myers; four grandchildren, Jay (Colleen), Scott (Carole Ann), Kate, and Jack; two great-grandsons; her sister Rosemary Miller; and three step-children, Mike Jones, Debi Little, and Cathy Horne, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11 am at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, Palm Beach, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bunny’s honor to Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, Habitat for Humanity, or Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
