Kasem "Kas" Yodbut May 1, 1941 – October 31, 2025 Royal Palm Beach, Florida Kasem "Kas" Yodbut, age 84, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, surrounded by family. Kas was born on May 1, 1941, in Bangkok, Thailand. The oldest of eight siblings, he carried a lifelong sense of dedication and responsibility for his family. He grew up in Bangkok and later came to the United States to pursue his education and a better life. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and went on to build a long and respected career with Palm Beach County as a Project Manager, where he helped design many of the community's water drainage systems. He took great pride in his work and often pointed out the projects he contributed to, knowing they would serve others for generations. Kas was an avid tennis player, spending weekends on the courts at John Prince Park, and loved sharing stories of his soccer days in Thailand, where his passion for the game began. He was most proud of helping to raise his siblings and later helping many of them come to America to build new lives. His care extended beyond his own family, he helped raise nieces, nephews, and grandchildren with the same devotion and strength that guided his own children. Kas is survived by his beloved wife, Assistant Professor Utapin Yodbut; his sons Zendo Heshiki (wife Heather) and Anothai Yodbut; and his daughter Charlene Boldrin (husband Billy Nikolakopoulos). He was a proud grandfather to Shane, Carmen, Brennen, Liana, Elias, Mahogany, Anthony, Leonidas, and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings Group Captain Supojana Yodbut, Group Captain Uamporn Yodbut, Pornpimol Yodbut, Group Captain Ruengsak Yodbut, and Uanchit Yodbut, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly. Kas was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, a man who lived by example, teaching through action, perseverance, and humor. He had a deep love for nature, birds, fishing, and camping, and he never missed a soccer game when it came to cheering on his grandchildren. Though we'll miss his voice, his cooking, his stories, and his love, his legacy is everywhere. It lives on in the lessons he taught, the community he built, and the family he nurtured. Kas truly built a life worth celebrating — and he did it his way.
