Karla Kay Kelley Beloved daughter, sister, life partner, cousin, and wonderful friend. Born February 15, 1955 in Presque Isle Maine to Janice Marilyn Young Tibbetts and Joseph Bynum Kelley. She attended many different high schools around the world and graduated from Pompano Beach FL high school in 1973. She graduated from Tufts University in 1977 with an Economics degree. Karla was a beautiful soul, intelligent, genuine, caring, and lit up any room she entered. Karla was the person that was always there for everyone. She was the person you could talk to about anything and everything , she didn't have a judgmental bone in her body. She just always listened and loved. She always put people before herself. She was always thinking of others and not wanting to be a bother. Karla had a pretty exciting childhood traveling around the world as a military brat and was once a model. She ran a successful whale watching business in Kennebunkport, Maine. Karla later moved back to Florida to start a new life. She worked for the Colony Hotel and then most recently Manno's Uniform Shop for over 15 years where she was well loved by uniformed officers of Palm Beach County. Manno's nicknamed Karla a walking encyclopedia. She knew every fact and could spell any word. She touched many people's hearts along the way, becoming lifelong friends with many. The passion she had for loving and life itself inspired others to be like her. She is missed terribly and will be remembered and honored by her friends, family, and coworkers, whose lives she changed for the better. She is survived by her brother Scott Kelley, her sister in law Sharon Kelley, her life partner Craig Glazer, cousins and many wonderful friends. There will be a celebration of her life Sunday 2/23/2020 at 3:00 at Sawfish Bay Park in Jupiter Florida. Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt for a luau.
