Julio Julian Sanaia Pena, a beloved father, brother, husband, uncle, and grandfather, passed away on April 25th, 2023. Born on April 18th, 1942 in the Dominican Republic to Cesar Julian Sanaia and Casilda Pena, Julio lived a life full of passion and dedication. Julio married his soulmate, Lesbia M. Castillo, on July 30th, 1972 in the Dominican Republic, and together they raised three children: Cesar V Sanaia (RIP), Amin V Sanaia, and Isa C Sanaia. He worked as the Secretary General for the Electric Company in the Dominican Republic and served as the President of the Labor Union. In the early 80s, he immigrated to the US with his family. Julio was a man of many talents and interests. He was an avid sportsman who played baseball, softball, and volleyball growing up. He also had a passion for playing dominoes and was always up for a friendly game. He was a proud member of the Grand Order of United Oddfellows Lodge, where he dedicated many years of his life serving the community. In 2017, he was awarded the highest honor for his outstanding work and dedication to the lodge. Above all, Julio was a man known for his unwavering love and devotion to his family. He was a pillar of strength and a role model to all who knew him. His utmost integrity, strong will, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all those who were lucky enough to cross his path. Julio Julian Sanaia Pena will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a great human being and a shining example of what it means to live a life of purpose and dedication.
