Judson Clark Holmes, 85, of Lake Park, Florida, passed away on July 18, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida, after a brief hospice stay. Judson was born on April 10, 1939, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the son of Mary Holmes. After high school, Judson enrolled in the United States Navy, and later married his love, Agnes Licata. Jud spent his working career in the Construction Field, rising to become a Foreman on many local major construction projects, including the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant, the construction of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Palm Beach, and the Florida Turnpike. For his enjoyment, Jud was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed going crabbing, especially with his grandchildren. But what gave Jud the most pleasure was being with his family- he truly enjoyed being dad, husband, grandfather, and later a great grandfather. Any family gathering was where he shined the most with pride, but Christmas and Birthdays were extra special; he always had the most thoughtful gifts and cards to give and hammed it up when it was his turn to receive! If he said it once, he said it a thousand times; Family was the most important thing in the world to him. Judson Clark Holmes is survived by two daughters; Denice (George) Redshaw of Lake Worth, Florida, and Danielle (Scott) Frickleton of Lafayette, Tennessee; three grandchildren; Brandon (Carol) Padron, Lauren Padron, both of Florida, and Nickie Frickleton of Tennessee; one great grandchild, his namesake, Dominic Clark Padron of Florida. Judson was predeceased by his loving wife, Agnes (Licata) Holmes in 2004. Friends will be received at Palms West Funeral Home on Monday, July 22, 2024, between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm, with burial taking place at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach on Tuesday July 23, 2024, at 11:00am.
