Judith Kandekore Obituary On Sunday April 02, 2023, Judith Kandekore, a loving mother, mother-in-law, aunt and grandmother transitioned into paradise at the age of 84. Judith Kandekore, also known as Waizeru Yashemambet and Darling was born ½ of a twin birth on March 30, 1939, to Anorah Amanda Kandekore and Menilik Kandekore, in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. In her early life, Judith was raised in Denham Town and, as her parents migrated to Maverly completed her schooling there. She was known throughout her district for her work in the 4H Club and made many lifelong friends there. Although many of Judith's siblings migrated to England, she had no desire to move there, and she pursued her dreams of going to America. In December 1967, Judith made her way to America with sponsorship directly to Boston. She left her two-year-old behind in pursuit of a better life for her child and herself. To say the least, Boston in December is significantly different than Jamaica, which lead Judith to New York in a matter of 30 days from her initial time of entry into the United States. It was in New York that Judith strived to be her best self. She found her way into the garment district and there she spent the best part of 16 years as a buyer for designers such as Givenchy, Geoffrey Beene, Calvin Klein and the likes. She was known for her ability to put together outfits that would turn heads and ensured her children mirrored the same. Judith later moved three of her children to San Diego, California where they spent 13 years growing and learning but her home and her heart was in New York, and she returned in 1997. However, the weather became a factor and she migrated to Florida, in 2002. Judith enjoyed her later years in Florida and was overtaken by the illnesses that plague many. She succumbed to those illnesses on Palm Sunday, April 02, 2023. She was known as the life of the party and would dance you into a new decade if you could keep up. Known as mommy to her four children and Aunty Darling to her many nieces and nephews she was loved by them all. Judith was preceded in death by both parents, Menilik and Anorah Kandekore, brothers, Nasibu Kandekore, Menilik Jr "Oswald", Karime Abdul Sinwyosin "Danny", Cetewayo "Tutu" Kandekore, her eldest sister Ita Thompson and her youngest brother Lijyasu. Judith is survived by her eldest daughter, Marjorie Lord, sons Asfao Dingiswayo, and Felipe Kandekore and her youngest daughter Felicia Godard, son-in-law Cleeford Godard, daughter-in-law, Alfy Dingiswayo, grandchildren, Jalani, Samara, Maegan, Kiyanna, Brianna, Ayden and Arya.
