Juanita L. Chaney

After 91+ years of helping and supporting family and friends, Juanita Leggett Chaney was called home by God on December 21, 2018. Juanita was born January 6, 1927, in Palm Beach County to James Hiram and Abbie Mahala (nee McClelland) Leggett. She was married to Alton Chaney in 1946 until his death in 1996. She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda Sue Barnett and her four siblings. She is survived by her son Randolph Alton Chaney, adopted daughter Dianna Bevins, four granddaughters Melissa (Bryan) King, Abbie (Teddy) Jackson, Shannon Barnett (Paul) Locke, Kimberly Barnett, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was employed for many years by the Palm Beach County Schools as a bus driver for special needs children. She was a very good cook, but family and friends will especially miss her wonderful baked goods. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
